What Is the Boston Seaport?

The Seaport is South Boston's newest and hottest district that real estate developers are scrambling to build sky rises in, redefining the city's sky line. The Seaport, also known as the Innovation District, was primarily an industrial area and became obsolete over time. This called for repurposing the area. The area features high end hotels, restaurants, condominiums and entertainment.

Although there is a lot of construction and development needed and expected in the next coming decades, it is slowly drawing attention nationally back to Boston. This follows and coexists with the developments in other major U.S. cities such as New York City's Hudson Yards and Miami's Brickell districts.
